its not that i have a negative view of god-believers (like you??)...

its that i have a negative view of the whole
(xtian) religion....

you are merely a by-product... and since you don't
really attack me (nor do i wish that) i see no
ill between you and i. i know lots of xtians...
and i've never had issues with them until it
came down to convictions (which they always
seemed ready to press).

agnostics and athetists are being marginalized
within this country... whats particularly cruel
about that is in addition -- there is a padded
opression that goes along with it -- a social
approval of this type of thing

THIS is what bothers me.... not the whole god-on-a-cloud thing.

i clearly remember being raised in the catholic
faith. no one was as devoted as me (or so i thought)...
but looking back on it, i can clearly see subliminal
notations to segregation and an open push to
negativity for others 'not like me' (in that aspect).

not all xtians are like this....
i have met thousands prolly... visited many different
types of religious spector... i'm amazed with it
all, really.

Im not a religious person in the typical attend church every Sunday sort of thing.My mother is quite involved in her church and is a saint in my eyes and others.She never has pushed it on me,just given adviced and encouragement when its been asked.My father never goes to church.His church is hard work and common sense,being fair and ethical.So out of those two is me.

Ive never had a bad experience with a religious nut or let any religious person tell me Im going to hell or that Im a bad person because I dont fit there mold.They just dont fase me.

I believe in God and I believe that he put us here on earth to live!I believe he gave us all gifts and problems.He has given us the ability to make choices,to be able to work toward dealing with our problems and to use our gifts to help others and ourselves.

I never understand people who ask God why?,why did this bad thing happen to me? and such.I think God puts us here on earth,gives us some guidelines ,Ten Commandments,Bible, and says live.I dont believe he's here to save us from ourselves and others,hes just here to save our eternal soul.To ask God why something bad happens to ones self is selfish in my opinion.Through bad and good experiences comes a human lifetime.

So I guess what Im saying is I dont understand why you or others here have a negative view of believers in God like me.
